Christmas Services at Christ Church
At Christ Church, when we think about our Christmas events and services in ‘Pre-Covid’ times, we miss all that we used to be able to do – I certainly do, especially as I look back through my files from Christmases in the past.
However, I keep encouraging myself by remembering that things are so much better than they were last year, not least since we are able to sing again, and have our choir sing ‘live.’
This year we will be having:
Sunday 19th December
9am BCP Communion Service
10.15am ‘Carol Praise’
– a service of carols, Bible readings and Choir items
Christmas Eve: Friday 24th December
4pm: Family Carol Service
– a more informal service with carols and a short talk
Christmas Day: Saturday 25th December
9am BCP Communion Service
10.15 Christmas Day Family Service
[Boxing Day: Sunday 26th December. By special permission of the Bishop, there will be no services at Christ Church on Boxing Day. However, a Sunday service, followed by Communion, will be taking place at St Mary’s Cheadle, at 10am.]
One thing just to note is that we are still asking people to wear masks for our services, particularly because we are singing and we also need to balance the requirement to keep our building well ventilated, but also not cold.
I hope to be able to welcome you to Christ Church this Christmas time.
God bless, David (Rev David Russell, Vicar)
